I said I wanted it together to the point of needing to tear my van apart to finish swapping parts........Well I made it.
Now after our little vacation this weekend I’ll get my van in there and start ripping it apart.

Started at 5 pm, had dinner with family for Grandma’s Bday, went back out at 6:30 pm, went home by 8:30 pm.
Figured I did alright for about 2.5 hrs of work ;)

You are crazy as usual... question tho, why do the headers connect to each other? Scavenging or some sort of EGR?

Honest answer, space saving.

Front bank downpipe would then have to run below the transverse engine and then join up to the rear downpipe . If they didn’t join up, you’d have dual exhausts and all the space that takes up under the van .

Aaaah that makes sense! I didnt realize that the other side has no exhaust flange....
